What does the Ohana do?
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Learning programs that extend beyond the curriculum. The Ohana provides funds for the Performing Arts Program, Library Program, Computer Program, Speech Festival contributions, and the CPAC (Castle Performing Arts).
SCHOOL SUPPORT PROGRAMS
Supplemental support for the classroom and staff. The Ohana provides funds for individual classroom use, grade level support, additional paper purchases throughout the school year, and Online subscriptions.
STUDENT RECOGNITION
Recognition awards and assemblies for students of Kaneohe Elementary. The Ohana provides funds for Citizenship Awards, Superstar Awards, and Hall of Fame Awards.
SCHOOL EVENTS
The Ohana helps to fund events held during school hours:
Staff Appreciation Week, planned school wide events (Snow Day), and May Day Music Teacher & Hula Stipends.
PARENT/FAMILY ENRICHMENT
Activities for families to increase community involvement. The Ohana funds School Improvement Projects, Annual Fun Fair, and Family Nights: Pumpkin Carving, Winter Activity, Movie Nights, etc.
